It was the night of my third-grade Christmas play. The gym was packed. The lights were blazing. My heart was racing. And then I saw them—my family in the crowd, faces beaming with pride. That spark of connection. That moment of being seen. It’s a feeling that has never left me.
Fast forward years later. I was deep into a successful federal career managing complex software projects and leading Agile teams. It was fulfilling and stable. But my heart still whispered, there’s more. So, I returned to the stage—this time, in Baltimore’s thriving theater scene. Spotlighters, Fells Point, the Strand. One role led to another, and soon I was filming in front of TV cameras, bringing stories to life on BET and Investigation Discovery.
But this isn’t just a story of performance—it’s one of purpose and resilience.
Over time, I began to merge my creative soul with my strategic mind. I produced short films, launched a production company with my husband, and built a meaningful business—until the day my whole life changed.
The sudden death of my husband and creative partner stopped everything in its tracks. Our plans. The momentum. The partnership. Grief entered my life and threatened everything. But God, therapy, and my incredible village of family and friends carried me through. I found a new rhythm. A new mission. And I began to build something new.
Today, I lead Creatique—a boutique creative studio built on heart, strategy, and story. We help brands, businesses, and individuals tell the kind of stories that don’t just look good—they feel true.
Creatique is proof of what’s possible when you move with God, confidence, and clear intention. Because storytelling isn’t just what people do—it’s who we are.
